BE A SAIGONER ON BACK OF A BIKE

Saigon has 10 million inhabitants and more than 7 million motorbikes. It’s amazing to watch!

But when I got to ride on the back of a motorbike, I felt like I was part of the vibrancy of the city, not just watching from the sidelines. I could have just ridden around on the back of the bike the entire evening. We were picked up at our hotel, each of us had a motorbike driver (all very nice), and the group of 6 had a tour guide that followed us around the town and explained everything to us. We got to experience local food, local music, and a night club. The tour was one of the more expensive tours we booked, but the joy of seeing the city from a bike was totally worth the expense

This was the highlight of our short stay in Saigon. it was professionally run and great fun, providing a brilliant intro to the city and seeing things that we would never have found by ourselves. A great way to experience the city. The guides were extremely friendly and were able to show the best of Ho Chi Min from a rather unique perspective! Honestly I do not know how how can they drive in such an heavy traffic! The drivers were great and I never felt worried even as we were ferried through Ho Chi Minh City traffic at rush hour! I am 6'4" and 230 pounds and I had some trepidation about the little slip of a girl that was to be my driver. As it turned out I had nothing to worry about. She drove me around safely, always in total control, even in the busiest traffic. I felt perfectly safe in her hands. I wanted to do a little GoPro videoing and our outrider provided extra protection for me while I was using the camera.

Vietnam’s reputation as one of the world’s tastiest street food nations is well deserved, but only locals know many of the best places for street food, and many of the pricier restaurants can be disappointing – especially when you combine (more-than-likely) poor service with the hit your wallet takes. You can have a much better meal elsewhere for just a few dollars.

Wanted a more 'one on one' learning environment. Creating your own tour.
